Tant Mieux
(originally arranged by Theory of Nonexistence)
MP3 FLAC
This is a remix from the game Romancing SaGa. The original idea was created by Theory of Nonexistence from OCReMix. I had been listening to little bits of the song as ToN was writing it out and I really wanted to help out. I made some changes in rhythms and added some of my own goodies as well. The result is probably my best mixing work up to date. Very loud and very punchy. ToN and I are extremely satisfied with what we came up with. Now, download this rockin' track now and blow your ears out! |

Burn, Baby, Burn!
MP3 FLAC
I was going through all of my game soundtracks a couple of days ago when I ran into this song from Sega's Super Hang-On entitled "Outrun a Crisis." It had such a late 80's, early 90's rock ballad style and I wanted to go with that. So I cranked up the reverb and picked my cheesiest synth sounds and this track was born, in a single day, no less. So put on your leather pants and jean jacket and rock out! |

The Secrets of Sosetsuken
MP3 FLAC
When I was a kid, my dad used to take us kids to rent video games every weekend. We had a Sega Master System and I'd always look for Double Dragon. The music in the game really stuck with me. Even now I catch myself humming those tunes out loud. Now you too can hum out loud to this rockin' remix of the first stage and unleash the power of the dragon through music! |

The Passing of the Blue Crown
(along with Steppo, feat. zircon)
MP3
Steppo, from OCReMix, had me listen to something he had worked on a while back. It was a pretty fantastic remix of the main theme to MegaMan 3, only it was made using only samples. I decided to recreate it using mostly live instruments and I think it turned out pretty great. Thanks to zircon for providing some twinkling ivory improv for the fadeout.

Metamorphic Rock
(originally arranged by Darkesword)
MP3
Darkesword of OCReMix had worked on this Sonic the Hedgehog remix of Marble Zone and really wanted it to rock. I happily agreed to flesh out the track. At first, the idea was pretty simple. What he had done using MIDI was already pretty great, so all I really had to do was record some live guitars and bass and apply my own drum samples to his MIDI track. Only after a short while, I decided to go in a completely different direction with the arrangement. Power metal! Anyway, I like how it turned out. I will be finishing the original idea for this remix, though, and it will also rock. So stay tuned! |

Twin Blood
MP3
One of my earlier remixes. A friend of mine had asked me to remix this Boss track from Double Dragon 2. I'd never heard it as I'd only ever played the original Double Dragon, but once I did I knew the song could rock. The arrangement was pretty simple so I fleshed it out with a ridiculous drum solo, followed by a slower break-down section, then a guitar solo in typical Sixto flavor. I've come a pretty long way since making this remix in terms of recording and mixing skills. Why don't you download and compare to see for yourself? |

Wicked Six
MP3
Ah, my very first video game remix. Oh, the memories... Anyway, I don't really remember how I came about picking this as the source for remixing, but I do remember how proud I felt after I rendered the final mixdown. Sure, listening to it now isn't as fun as I can point out so many mistakes and bad desicions not only in the mixing, but the arrangement itself. But this was my first. My debut in the video game remixing community. It will always hold a special place in my heart...until I re-remix this track into something much better, worthy of the title Wickeder Six! |

Made in U.S.A.
MP3
This track was originally just something I was going to submit to OCReMix but I was asked by Shael Riley to put this into his remix project Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo: Blood on the Asphalt. It's another typical Sixto track. Power rock with some wonderful cheesy synth action and dueling guitar solos. This is also a pretty early remix and was never actually submitted to OCReMix, so I will be revamping and submitting in the near future. In the meantime, rock out to this version Ken's theme. |

Chronicles
(with Geoffrey Taucer)
MP3
This is a track Jeremy (GeoffreyTaucer of OCReMix) had asked me to collaborate on a couple of years ago. It's a remix of music from Chrono Trigger featuring Jeremy on wonderfuly fingerpicked guitar. This remix was actually rejected by the panel at OCReMix and I vowed to Jeremy that we would never give up until this track was accepted! Anyway, years later I still haven't gotten around to revamping this, but I will! Soon, too. But for now, enjoy this slower-paced Sixto remix. |

Lunatic Moon
MP3
Andy (zircon from OCReMix) asked me to join his remix project Final Fantasy VII: Voices of the Lifestream and I chose RedXIII's theme as my source. I had Andy listen to a clip of what I was working on and he loved it. Eventually this became a collaboration between Andy and I and I'm pretty pleased with the results. It's a fusion of my fast-paced hard rock riffing with Andy's ethnic electronica. Download it and check out the rest of the project as well. |

Wanderer on the Offensive
(with Cerrax, feat. B33J & yodaisbetter)
MP3
A while back, I was browsing through the WIP forums at OCReMix and came across this remix of a few themes from Shadow of the Colossus by Cerrax. It was a great arrangement, only it wasn't sounding too hot. I volunteered to bring the track to life. I also put out a call for someone to record live bass. A couple of people sent me their attempts, but B33J was the guy we chose in the end. Cerrax also had his friend, yodaisbetter, record live viola for some of the more melodic sections in the song. The result was a pretty great song with plenty of guitar-heavy action as well as soothing viola sounds. Download and enjoy! |

Subterranean Kamikaze
(with zircon)
MP3
Back when I first got the SNES system, there were only two games I was interested in when game renting time came around and those were Street Fighter 2 and TMNT4: Turtles in Time. Such great music in both games. I had already remixed a track from Street Fighter, so this time I went with Sewer Surfing from Turtles in Time. I wanted it to have an 80's heavy metal vibe like music from 80's metal bands Whitesnake and Lion. As I was ready to submit, zircon chimed in and wanted to do synths for the track, making this is another rocking collab-mix by Sixto and zircon. Surf's up! |

Works in Progress
(and other musical tidbits)
Stuff that's not quite finished...
Castlevania II- The Accursed Seal
(Modern, hard rock remix of Bloody Tears)
Chrono Trigger - Chronomix (No title yet!)
(Just a short idea I had for a smooth, loungey remix)
Bahamut Lagoon - Untitled
(Elctronica-rock remix from a classic SNES game)
Final Fantasy VII - Fight Song
(Fast-paced, low-tuned guitars and crazy electronic jungle beats)
Final Fantasy II - I don't know what theme this is
(Slower-paced rock theme in 3/4 tempo. Needs vocals maybe?)
X Japan - Kurenai!
(My horrible attempt at recreating this classic rock song. Also, my very first attempt at sequencing!)
Greensleves
(Yeah, I'm not so great at classical guitar)
PODxt 5150II Amp Model
(Just some improv guitar using a my PODxt. I dropped my pick a couple of times. See if you can spot where.)
Mr. Crowley Guitar Solo
(Failed attempt at soloing over a backing track. R.I.P, Randy)
Trigun - HT
(I did this years ago and it doesn't sound half bad. Maybe I should remake this for AnimeReMix...)
Valkyrie Profile - The Shining Blue Armor Descends
(A ridiculous viking metal remix by CHIPP Damage from OCReMix. I mixed and did some drum and strings work. Check here for the crazy lyrics!) |
